RESIDENTS living on the doorstep of a planned “super-development” of almost 2,000 homes have raised concerns over the pressure it would put on jobs, roads and schools in the area.

The massive 76-hectare site at the former Llanilid opencast mine would include 1,850 new homes, supermarket, shops, school, health centre and library.

Plans for the development, which would share the site with Valleywood film studios and a “commercial” development with leisure facilities, a hotel and business park, were submitted to Rhondda Cynon Taf council this week.

But residents living in nearby Pencoed, Llanharan and Llanharry said the huge scale of the development, which would lie just off the M4 between Pontyclun and Bridgend, could put enormous pressure on local jobs, schools and roads.

Do you even know what this training academy is doing? It’s all about engineering training, teaching our armed forces to look after the equipment used on the front line.

Now I realise you don’t like wars, and I’m sorry about that, but please stop spouting this utter rubbish because you’re making yourself look like a right dipstick! I actually voted Green at the last election but never again!
